Document updated on April 16th, 2026
1. Preamble
On the occasion of certain sporting events it organizes (the Events), Amaury Sport Organisation (A.S.O.) is offering legal entities (the Client), via its internet platform https://www.aso-hospitalite.fr/en (the Site), the purchase of accesses to the hospitality programs set in the frame of the Events (the Programs). The Client wished to purchase accesses to the Programs. To this end, A.S.O. and the Client (the Parties) have decided to enter into a contract (the Contract).
The Contract comprises, in descending order of importance, the pro-forma invoice (the Invoice), these general terms and conditions (the General Terms and Conditions) and the commercial offer, which form an indivisible whole. In the event of any contradiction between the contractual documents, the Invoice shall prevail over the General Terms and Conditions.
The Contract, of which this preamble forms an integral part, governs the relationship between the Parties with regard to the subject matter hereof. It replaces any document and oral or written agreement exchanged between the Parties prior to its conclusion and relating to its subject matter.
The Client is informed that the program entitled “Hélico à la carte” in connection with the Tour de France is neither organized nor sold by A.S.O., but by the company Voyage Sport Organisation (V.S.O.). V.S.O.’s general terms and conditions of sale are attached in Appendix 1 and apply to this Program.
2. Purchase of the accesses to the Programs
2.1. Purchase method
The accesses to the Programs shall be ordered via the Site.
It is not possible to purchase access to more than one Program per order.
A.S.O. reserves the right to refuse an order placed by a Client whose activities are linked to or promote, in any form whatsoever, a political, philosophical, moral or religious opinion, or which are likely to damage the image or smooth running of the Program and/or the Event.
2.2. Price and payments terms
2.2.1. Price are indicated in euros, tax excluded.
A.S.O. reserves the right to modify its prices at any time but the accesses to the Programs will be invoiced on the basis of the rates in force at the time the order is placed.
For certain Events, A.S.O. will offer the Client the possibility of making a donation to an association chosen by A.S.O. The amount of the donation will be left to the Client’s discretion and will appear on the Invoice, without VAT.
2.2.2. In return for the accesses to the Programs, the Client shall pay A.S.O. the lump sum stipulated on the Invoice in euros, increased by any tax due on the day of payment.
The Invoice is payable within 8 (eight) calendar days of receipt by the Client.
In any event, full payment must be received by A.S.O. no later than
· 15 (fifteen) calendar days prior to the date of the Program subject to the order for Programs sold in the “Running” section of the Site;
· 8 (eight) calendar days prior to the date of the Program subject to the order for Programs sold in the “Cycling” section of the Site.
Payment may only be made by bank transfer or by cheque.
2.2.3. Any delay or failure to pay shall constitute a breach by the Client, unless the Client can establish the existence of a case of force majeure, and may result in the cancellation of the order at the own discretion of A.S.O. as well as the immediate termination of the Contract by operation of law and without legal formalities, without prejudice to A.S.O.’s right to demand payment of the amounts due under the order as well as any damages.
2.3. Commitment
2.3.1. The Client acknowledges having read and accepted these General Terms and Conditions upon creating its account on the Site.
2.3.2. Validation of the order by the Client on the Site renders the sale firm and final. The Client therefore undertakes to pay the Invoice in accordance with the conditions set out in Article 2.2. The Client shall not be entitled to claim any compensation or financial indemnity in the event that, for any reason whatsoever, it does not make use, in whole or in part, of access to the Programs.
2.3.3. In the event of total or partial cancellation of the order by the Client, for any reason whatsoever, the following amounts shall remain due to A.S.O. or, if already paid, shall be retained by A.S.O.:

· Cancellation less than 30 calendar days before the date of the Program: 100% of the total amount of the order including all taxes.
Any cancellation must be notified to A.S.O. in writing.

A.S.O. undertakes to provide the Client with the accesses to the Programs directly or through the intermediary of third party service providers.
4. Obligations of the Client
4.1. Purpose
The accesses to the Programs are intended for the Client's customers, prospects, collaborators (employees, agents, volunteers…), natural persons (the Guests) for their personal use.
Each Guest participating in the Event must be aware of and comply with its rules.
The Client declares that he is not a sports event professional and does not obtain or use the accesses to the Programs for professional or commercial purposes or, in general, in order to make an economic profit from them. Consequently, the Client undertakes not to transfer, in any way or for any purpose whatsoever, in whole or in part, the accesses to the Programs.
4.2. Access to the Programs and/or the Event
No invitation issued by the Client may be considered as valid access to the Program and/or the Event. Only the invitations issued by A.S.O. or its service providers will allow access to the Program and/or the Event.
A.S.O. reserves the right to refuse access and/or expel from the Program and/or the Event any person whose behavior is likely to inconvenience the organizers, participants, spectators, service providers or customers or disrupt the smooth running of the Program and/or the Event.
4.3. Communication – visibility
4.3.1. The Client and the Guests agree to be filmed and/or photographed and that their image reproduced in this way may be freely used to refer to the Event by A.S.O. or its successors in title or assigns on any support whatsoever for a period of 5 years from the date of the order, for any purpose including for information, promotional and/or commercial purposes. The Client guarantees to have obtained the consent of these Guests for such use of their image.
4.3.2. Unless express authorization is granted by A.S.O. to the Client, in a separate contract and within the strict framework of this authorization, the Client shall ensure that it and the Guests comply with the following provisions:
(i) It is forbidden to capture and use in any form and for any use whatsoever - other than strictly for personal use within a restricted circle - any still or moving image representing all or part of the Program and/or the Event;
(ii) It is forbidden to distribute and/or sell to Guests and/or to any third parties any products and/or services within the Program and/or the Event;
(iii) It is forbidden to display any commercial brand in any form whatsoever (banners, signs, clothing, promotional items, etc.) on or around the site of the Program and/or the Event.
4.4. Safety instructions
The Client and the Guests undertake to comply with all safety instructions, particularly those relating to health, issued by A.S.O.
5. Secret and Confidentiality
The Client undertakes not to make any statement likely to damage the image of A.S.O., of the Program and/or the Event.
The Client undertakes to observe strict confidentiality and shall refrain from disclosing to anyone, for any reason whatsoever, any information that may have come to their knowledge in the course of the Contract relating to the Program, to the Event or, more generally, A.S.O.
Any reference to the Program and/or to the Event as well as any use by the Client of the logo of the Event or of any other distinctive sign relating to the Event or to A.S.O. as well as any use of terms such as "Supplier", "Partner", "Sponsor" of the Program and/or the Event is strictly prohibited. Failure to comply with this provision may result in the immediate termination of the Contract and the immediate payment of compensation set at 1/10th of the sums stipulated in the Contract, without prejudice to any additional compensation that A.S.O. may be required to claim for the damages incurred.
6. Client liability and insurances
The Client shall be responsible, for the entire duration of the Contract, for all actions of themselves or their Guests on or around the site of the Program and/or the Event.
The Customer is liable for any damage, harm, deterioration or deterioration of the hospitality area that may be noted by A.S.O. after it has been made available to the Customer. Consequently, the Customer undertakes to reimburse A.S.O., upon first request and upon presentation of supporting documents, for all costs incurred by A.S.O. in restoring this area to its original condition.
The Customer must immediately inform A.S.O. of any incident, bodily injury and/or material damage of any kind occurring in this area.
Furthermore, the Client undertakes to take out, at its own expense, and to maintain in force throughout the term of the Contract, insurance covering its civil liability and that of the Guests for all types of damage, whether physical, material or immaterial, direct or indirect, caused by it or by the Guests, and to provide proof of such insurance to A.S.O. upon request.
Civil liability (only for Running Events): in accordance with current legislation, A.S.O., in its capacity as organizer, has taken out insurance covering the financial consequences of its civil liability, that of its employees and that of all participants in each of the Events. With regard to the civil liability of Guests, the intervention of this insurance for the latter is limited to accidents that they may cause during the Event. This cover is in addition to, or in the absence of, any other insurance from which they may benefit. Proof can be provided to the Client on request.
Individual accident (only for Running Events): each Guest may take out insurance, when registering for the Event, guaranteeing payment of a lump sum in the event of physical damage (death or permanent disability) due to an accident occurring on the Event course. Compensation, depending on the damage and the cover limits chosen, is paid if the insured is the victim of an accident while taking part in the Event for which the insurance has been taken out.
This insurance is optional but strongly recommended. It may be taken out in addition to, or as an alternative to, insurance of the same type held in particular via a sports license. The information leaflet and application form are available on the website of each Event. If the Customer wishes to take out individual accident insurance for all his Guests, the Client should contact the MARSH broker (assurances.aso@marsh.com).
Material Damage: A.S.O. declines all responsibility in the event of damage (theft, breakage, loss…) to the personal properties of the Guests during Program and/or the Event. The Client and/or Guests will therefore not be able to take legal action against A.S.O. for any damage caused to the said personal properties. It is therefore the responsibility of the Client and/or each Guest, if he considers it necessary, to take out insurance covering these risks.
7. Termination
In the event of a breach by the Client or the Guests of any of the obligations set out herein, the Contract may be terminated by A.S.O. as of right, without any legal formalities, after formal notice to remedy the breach has been served on the Client by any conclusive means remained unfruitful; and this without prejudice for A.S.O. to any claim for damages. This formal notice may be of the order of an hour, depending on the nature of the failure or breach.
8. Force Majeure
The Parties expressly agree that A.S.O. may not be held liable if the Program and/or the Event is cancelled or interrupted due to force majeure. For the purposes hereof, the Parties agree to attribute the effects of force majeure to the following events: fire, climatic or political conditions making it impossible or very difficult to hold the Program and/or the Event and in particular : flood, epidemic (including COVID-19), terrorist attack (or threat of terrorist attack), hurricane, tornado, storm, thunderstorm, frost, hail unfavorable to the holding of the Program and/or the Event, earthquake, war, civil war, requisition, work stoppage, lock-out or strike of personnel and/or sportsmen necessary for the holding of the Program and/or the Event or for the transport of competitors or spectators, revolution, riots, crowd movements, legal moratorium, french “fait du prince”, withdrawal or suspension of administrative authorisations, withdrawal or suspension of authorisations to occupy the sites where the Program and/or the Event is held, theft of all or part of the equipment required to hold the Program and/or the Event, lack of electrical power, interruption or delay in transport or telecommunications, impossibility of retransmitting the Event by terrestrial hertzian waves, by cable or by satellite, conditions making it impossible or very difficult to maintain the safety of participants in the Event or spectators, substantial defection of participants in the Event.
9. Cancellation or interruption of the Program and/or the Event
In the event of cancellation and/or interruption of the Program and/or the Event for any reason whatsoever, in particular as a result of an event listed in article 8, the Client may not claim any reimbursement or payment of any compensation whatsoever and hereby waives all liability claims against A.S.O. for the purpose of obtaining damages on these grounds.
10. Intuitu personae
The Contract is concluded intuitu personae between the Parties. The Client's rights and obligations may not be assigned in whole or in part, delegated or transferred to a third party, by any means whatsoever, without A.S.O.'s express prior written consent.
11. Applicable law and jurisdictional competence
The Contract has been drawn up in French, which will in any event be considered to be the sole language of the Contract.
All of its provisions are governed by French law.
In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought before any legal action is taken by submitting a claim to A.S.O., by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt, within ten (10) days of the dispute arising. Failing amicable settlement, any dispute to which the Contract may give rise shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts within the jurisdiction of the Paris Court of Appeal.

Where this number is not reached, V.S.O. shall notify You of the termination of the Travel Contract, by any means, no later than:
- 20 (twenty) calendar days before the start of performance of Travel Services lasting more than 6 (six) calendar days;
- 7 (seven) calendar days before the start of performance of Travel Services lasting between 2 (two) and 6 (six) calendar days;
- 48 (forty-eight) hours before the start of performance of Travel Services lasting no more than 2 (two) calendar days.
You shall then be refunded by V.S.O. for all sums that You have paid without any entitlement to claim additional compensation.
10. TERMINATION OF THE TRAVEL CONTRACT BY YOU
NB: these provisions shall not apply where the Travel Contract only relates to:
- Transportation Only Travel Services, outside Travel Packages, covered by the terms and conditions of the Provider of said Services;
- seasonal furnished rental Travel Services, outside Travel Packages, which shall remain to be governed by Law no. 70-9 of 2 January 1970 and its implementing texts;
- Travel Services and Travel Packages sold on the basis of a general agreement for the arrangement of business travel, covered by the terms and conditions of the general agreement.
If You wish to terminate a Travel Contract relating to Travel Service(s) or a Travel Package, You may do so at any time before the start of performance of the Travel Services, whether or not included within a Travel Package.
However, it shall not be possible to partially terminate Travel Service(s) or a Travel Package, i.e. terminate only certain specific Travel Services and not others.
Termination of the Travel Contract shall be deemed to take effect on the date of receipt by V.S.O. of notification of Your wish to terminate the Travel Contract sent by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt or by e-mail with return receipt to the address vso@aso.fr with “Termination” in the subject line.
Any refund due shall be made without undue delay and, in any event, no later than 14 (fourteen) calendar days after termination of the Travel Contract.
10.1. Payment of termination fees
If You decide to terminate the Travel Contract, V.S.O. shall require You to pay appropriate and justifiable termination fees. You shall remain responsible, where applicable, for the premiums for any insurance purchased.
The method of calculating the amount of termination fees used by V.S.O. is that of actual costs, i.e. those corresponding to the price of the Travel Service(s) or Travel Package, from which any cost savings and income from alternative deployment of the Travel Services by V.S.O. are subtracted. Where requested by the participant, V.S.O. shall provide a justification for the amount retained in termination fees.
The termination fees shall then be deducted from the amount of the deposit and/or any payment already made by You. Where applicable, a refund shall be processed. You shall, where applicable, be billed for any additional amount due which must be paid immediately using one of the accepted payment methods.
10.2. Occurrence of a case of Force Majeure
You shall have the right to terminate the Travel Contract before the start of performance of Travel Services, whether or not included within a Travel Package, without paying any termination fees, in the event of unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances occurring at the place of destination or its immediate vicinity and significantly affecting the performance of the Travel Contract or which significantly affect transportation to the destination. In this case, You shall be entitled to a full refund of any payments made, but shall not be entitled to additional compensation for damages.
Pursuant to Article L. 211-2 V 3° of the French Tourism Code, “unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances” means “a situation beyond the control of the party who invokes such a situation and the consequences of which could not have been avoided even if all reasonable measures had been taken”.
Pursuant to Article L. 211-14 II of the French Tourism Code, these unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances must occur at the place of Your destination or its immediate vicinity and significantly affect the performance of Your Travel Contract or significantly affect transportation to Your destination. This may be the case, for example, if there are serious security problems at Your travel destination that are likely to significantly affect Your trip.
You are advised to refer to the recommendations provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the “Travel Advisories" ("Conseils aux Voyageurs”) section on the website www.diplomatie.gouv.fr. However, illness of the traveller shall not constitute unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances.
WE STRONGLY ADVISE YOU TO PURCHASE CANCELLATION INSURANCE, SUCH AS THAT PROPOSED BY V.S.O. IN ARTICLE 15 OF THESE TCS, COVERING YOU IN THE EVENT OF THE OCCURRENCE OF CIRCUMSTANCES REQUIRING YOU TO CHANGE OR CANCEL YOUR TRIP.
11. AMENDMENT OF THE TRAVEL CONTRACT BY V.S.O.
NB: these provisions shall not apply where the Travel Contract only relates to:
- Transportation Only Travel Services, outside Travel Packages, covered by the terms and conditions of the Provider of said Services;
- seasonal furnished rental Travel Services, outside Travel Packages, which shall remain to be governed by Law no. 70-9 of 2 January 1970 and its implementing texts;
- Travel Services and Travel Packages sold on the basis of a general agreement for the arrangement of business travel, covered by the terms and conditions of the general agreement.
11.1 Changes to minor elements of the Travel Contract
Before the start of performance of the Travel Services, including within a Travel Package, V.S.O. shall be entitled to make changes to the Travel Contract, including changes relating to the Travel Service(s) or Travel Package, relative to what was agreed when concluding the Travel Contract, where such changes become necessary after the Travel Contract has been concluded, provided that these changes are minor, are made in good faith, do not negatively impact the trip as a whole and subject to application of Article 4.2 of these TCS. V.S.O. shall notify You in writing of such changes without undue delay.
11.2 Changes to essential elements of the Travel Contract
If, before Your departure, V.S.O. is required to make changes relating to i) any of the essential elements of any Travel Service(s) or Travel Package ordered, as a result of an external event imposed on V.S.O., ii) the fact that V.S.O. cannot fulfil special requirements that were notified to Us by You and agreed to by V.S.O., or iii) an increase in price of more than 8% as provided for in Article 4.2 of these TCS, V.S.O. shall inform You without undue delay, on a durable medium, of the proposed changes and, where applicable, of their impacts on the price of the Travel Service(s) or Travel Package. You shall have the option to (i) accept the change, (ii) terminate the Travel Contract relating to the Travel Service(s) or the Travel Package free of charge, or (iii) where appropriate, accept another substitute Travel Service/Travel Package proposed by V.S.O., within a reasonable period specified by V.S.O.
Where You fail to notify Your intention to terminate the Travel Contract within 7 (seven) calendar days of the date on which You were informed of the change to the Travel Service(s) or Travel Package, You shall be deemed to have accepted it.
Where the change to the Travel Service(s) or Travel Package or the substitute service results in a trip or holiday of lower quality or cost, You shall be entitled to an appropriate price reduction.
If You wish to terminate the Travel Contract relating to the Travel Service(s) or the Travel Package to which the change applies without accepting a substitute Travel Service or Travel Package proposed by V.S.O., V.S.O. shall, where appropriate, refund all sums paid without undue delay and no later than 14 (fourteen) calendar days after the Travel Contract is terminated, without prejudice to any compensation for damages where the conditions in Article L. 211-17 of the French Tourism Code are satisfied.
12. AMENDMENT OF THE TRAVEL CONTRACT BY YOU
Only the person who signed the Sales Contract, or the person to whom the Travel Contract has been transferred in accordance with Article 13, shall be authorised to request a change to the Travel Contract.
You shall not be entitled to unilaterally change the characteristics of the Travel Service(s) (in particular the travel date, destination, place of departure, accommodation or mode of transport), whether or not included within a Travel Package, once the Sales Contract has been signed and returned by You.
However, V.S.O. shall use its best efforts to accommodate any changes to the Travel Service(s) requested by You, depending on availability.
Where the Travel Contract is amended at Your request, You shall be responsible for any additional costs, which may vary based on circumstances and depending on the type of changes You wish to make to the Travel Contract.
13. TRANSFER OF THE TRAVEL CONTRACT
NB: Transfer shall not be possible where the Travel Contract solely relates to:
- Transportation Only Travel Services, outside Travel Packages, covered by the terms and conditions of the Provider of said Services;
- seasonal furnished rental Travel Services, outside Travel Packages, which shall remain to be governed by Law no. 70-9 of 2 January 1970 and its implementing texts;
- Travel Services and Travel Packages sold on the basis of a general agreement for the arrangement of business travel, covered by the terms and conditions of the general agreement.
If You decide to transfer the Travel Contract, You must notify V.S.O., by any means that allows You to obtain an acknowledgement of receipt, no later than 7 (seven) calendar days before the start of performance of the Travel Services or Travel Package concerned, specifying the exact name(s) and address(es) of the traveller(s) to whom You are transferring the Travel Contract, who must satisfy all the conditions applicable to the Travel Contract and fulfil the same criteria as You to benefit from the Travel Services or Travel Package transferred (same dates of stay, same accommodation, etc.).
V.S.O. shall notify You of the actual costs of the transfer. You shall then be required to pay the exact amount of costs incurred by V.S.O. to process the transfer (including those relating to the issuing of a new travel ticket in the name of the traveller(s)) as well as any processing fees, within 5 (five) calendar days of a request for payment by V.S.O., accompanied by corresponding proof.
As the costs of issuing a new ticket in the name of the new traveller depend on the carrier and various factors (date of transfer, etc.), they cannot be reasonably provided in advance and shall therefore be communicated to You without undue delay after You have informed V.S.O. of Your decision to transfer the Travel Contract.
You and the transferee(s) shall be jointly and severally liable for the payment of any balance due and for any additional fees, charges or other costs arising from the transfer.
Any insurance purchased may not, under any circumstances, be refunded or transferred. Where the transferee(s) wishes to benefit from such cover, the transferee shall be required to purchase insurance in the transferee's own name on the date of the transfer.
14. LIABILITY OF V.S.O.
NB: these provisions shall not apply where the Travel Contract only relates to:
- Transportation Only Travel Services, outside Travel Packages, covered by the terms and conditions of the Provider of said Services;
- Travel Services and Travel Packages sold on the basis of a general agreement for the arrangement of business travel, covered by the terms and conditions of the general agreement.
By purchasing the Travel Service(s) or Travel Package from V.S.O., V.S.O. shall be automatically liable for the proper performance of the Travel Service(s), whether or not included within a Travel Package, up to the amount of the compensation for damages provided for in international conventions and these TCS, without prejudice to its right of recourse against the Travel Service(s) Provider(s).
However, V.S.O. may relieve itself of liability in whole or in part by providing proof that the damage is attributable to You, to a third party unconnected with the provision of the Travel Service(s) included in the Travel Contract, or due to unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances as defined in Article 9.2 of these TCS.
In any event, with the exception of personal injury or damage caused intentionally or by negligence, the liability of V.S.O. may not exceed 3 (three) times the total price of the trip or holiday of the traveller concerned.
15. INSURANCE

The premium paid by You shall be non-refundable (save in case of termination of the Travel Contract by V.S.O. or by You under the conditions set down in Article 11.2 of the TCS or the exercise of the right of waiver under the conditions set down in Article 15.3 of the TCS) and the insurance cover non-transferable (including within the context of a transfer in accordance with Article 13 of the TCS).
15.2 Comprehensive Insurance (Trip Cancellation & interruption/Lost & Delayed Baggage/Assistance & Repatriation)
V.S.O. suggests purchasing optional Comprehensive (Trip Cancellation & interruption/Lost & Delayed Baggage/Assistance & Repatriation) insurance cover for 5% (five percent) of the total price of the Travel Services or Travel Package ordered.
The Comprehensive insurance policy shall be provided through Mutuaide Assistance S.A., a public limited company with share capital of €12,558,240 (registered on the Bobigny Trade & Companies Register under no. 383 974 086), having its registered office located at 126, Rue de la Piazza – CS 20010 – 93196 Noisy le Grand - CEDEX, France.
The information notice and general terms and conditions of the Comprehensive insurance policy shall be sent to You by e-mail with the Registration Form or shall be available when downloading the Registration Form.
The Comprehensive Insurance contract must be subscribed and the insurance premium paid in full at the time of ordering the Travel Service(s) or Travel Package.
15.3 Right of withdrawal
We recommend that You verify that You do not already have such cover before purchasing any of the policies suggested by Us.
In accordance with Article L 112-2-1 of the French Insurance Code and subject to the terms and conditions in the insurance policy, You shall have a right of withdrawal, within 14 (fourteen) full calendar days, without being required to give a reason or pay any penalties, when You purchase, when making a remote booking, an insurance policy with a duration of more than one month (duration counted from the effective date of the insurance policy until the end of the period covered by the policy). The withdrawal period shall run either i) from the date the remote policy is concluded, or ii) from the date on which You receive the contract terms & conditions and information, where this date is later. This right of withdrawal is only available to private individuals who have purchased the insurance policy for non-commercial and non-business purposes.
In accordance with Article L. 112-10 of the French Insurance Code and subject to the terms and conditions in the insurance policy, You may also withdraw from an insurance policy, at no cost or penalty, within 30 (thirty) calendar days of concluding the contract, provided that the contract was concluded for non-business purposes and the insurance policy has not been fully performed or You have not made any claim under the cover provided under the policy. Any premiums paid shall be refunded to You within 30 (thirty) calendar days of the date on which the right of withdrawal is exercised.
In both cases, You may exercise this right by sending a request in writing under the conditions set down in the insurance policy.
16. YOUR OBLIGATIONS TO COOPERATE
16.1. Obligation to respect the rights of V.S.O. and third parties
While benefiting from the Travel Services or Travel Package, You shall not, under any circumstances, engage in any behaviour constituting a serious violation likely to negatively affect, endanger or cause harm to V.S.O. and/or any third party.
If You fail to comply with this obligation, You may have Your contract with the Travel Service(s) Provider(s) or V.S.O. immediately terminated, without any right to compensation or any full or partial refund of the price of the Travel Contract, which V.S.O. reserves the right to retain by way of initial compensation, without prejudice to any additional damages, and be immediately prevented from using the corresponding Travel Service(s).

If the price increase exceeds 8% of the price of the travel service, the traveller may terminate the contract. If the service provider reserves the right to a price increase, the traveller has a right to a price reduction if there is a decrease in the relevant costs.
Travellers may terminate the contract without paying any termination fee and get a full refund of any payments if any of the essential elements of the contract, other than the price, are changed significantly. If, before the start of the travel service, the trader responsible for the travel service cancels the travel service, travellers are entitled to a refund and compensation, where appropriate.
Travellers may terminate the contract without paying any termination fee before the start of the service in the event of exceptional circumstances, for instance if there are serious security problems at the destination which are likely to affect the trip.
Additionally, travellers may at any time before the start of the trip terminate the contract in return for an appropriate and justifiable termination fee.
If, after the start of the trip, significant elements of the trip cannot be provided as agreed, suitable alternative arrangements will have to be offered to the traveller at no extra cost. Travellers may terminate the contract without paying any termination fee, where services are not performed in accordance with the contract and this substantially affects the performance of the trip and the service provider fails to remedy the problem.
Travellers are also entitled to a price reduction and/or compensation for damages where the travel services are not performed or are improperly performed.
The service provider or retailer has to provide assistance if the traveller is in difficulty.
If the service provider or retailer becomes insolvent, payments will be refunded.
